Essential Functions:
- Deliver AWS cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of the company and assist in modernizing planning efforts.
- Build AWS cloud-based solutions with related IaaS, PaaS and SaaS.
- Offer guidance in application migration from on-prem data centers to AWS Cloud using relevant AWS cloud services.
- Translate organizational level business requirements and use cases into architectural capabilities verified to meet the requirements.
- Design solution-independent architecture models that map business services to CloudFormation application stacks.
- Continuously manage, monitor, and update architecture models as business needs evolve and additional cloud services become available.
- Assist product owners, solution architects, and application architects in designing scalable, highly available, secure, cost-effective solutions that leverage cloud services.
- Define and document cloud solution architecture(s) including technical designs and diagrams.
- Assist product owners, solution architects, and application architects in designing scalable, highly available, secure, cost-effective solutions that leverage cloud services.
- Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work
- Excellent knowledge of cloud technologies and hybrid cloud service
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to properly articulate complicated cloud reports to management and other IT development partners
- Ensure key systems are monitored, patched, and maintained
- Respond to incidents and problems from the Managed Support team
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, Information Technology or relevant field
Job Requirements:
- AWS Certification – at least one of the following:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
- 5+ years’ experience designing, executing and supporting AWS Cloud with hands-on experience.
- 5+ years’ hands-on experience using Linux/Unix systems such as AWS Linux, RHEL, AIX, HPUX, etc.
Preferred Skills:
- 5+ years experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture or networking
- Professional experience architecting/deploying/operating solutions built on AWS
- Experience working within support, services, software development or Internet-related industries
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- Experience managing highly available data center operations with responsibility for infrastructure robustness, including networking, server hardware and storage
- Familiarity/experience with Atlassian products ( Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc. ) and related technology
- Expert in AWS cloud cost model and services
